Money doesn't have to be complicated. Start with what actually works.

We teach budgeting the way it should be taught—through real examples, honest conversations, and methods you'll actually use next month.

Explore Our Approach

Here's what we've noticed after years of teaching this stuff

Most people don't need another budgeting app or a 47-step financial plan. They need someone to sit down and show them how to track their actual spending without feeling judged.

The tricky part isn't the math—it's figuring out where your money goes each week and why certain months feel tighter than others. Once you see the patterns, everything clicks into place.

Our programs start in mid-2026, giving you time to think about whether this fits your schedule. No pressure, no countdown timers.

Three things we focus on (and why)

These aren't arbitrary topics. They're the areas where we've seen people struggle most—and where small shifts create the biggest impact.

01

Tracking Without Obsessing

You'll learn to monitor spending in about 10 minutes a week. We use categories that reflect how Australians actually spend money—not textbook examples from other countries.

02

Building Buffer Space

The goal isn't extreme frugality. It's creating enough breathing room so unexpected costs don't derail your month. We'll walk through realistic savings targets based on your situation.

03

Making Adjustments

Life changes. Income fluctuates. We teach you how to adapt your budget when things shift—whether that's a pay rise, a move, or just realizing your grocery estimate was way off.

What a typical learning journey looks like

This isn't a strict timeline—people move through at different speeds. But here's the general progression most participants follow.

Week 1-2 Foundation

We start by mapping your current financial picture. No judgment, just data. You'll track everything for two weeks to establish a baseline—most people are surprised by what they discover.

Week 3-6 System Building

Now we create a budget that fits your life. You'll test different tracking methods, adjust categories, and figure out what feels sustainable. This phase involves some trial and error.

Week 7-10 Refinement

By now you've got a working system. We focus on optimization—spotting inefficiencies, automating what makes sense, and troubleshooting any friction points that emerged.

Week 11-12 Independence

The final weeks are about confidence. You'll manage your budget with minimal input from us, preparing for the months ahead when you're completely on your own.

The practical details you're probably wondering about

Our courses run for 12 weeks with weekly sessions (mix of in-person and online depending on location). Most sessions are 90 minutes—enough time to cover material properly without dragging on.

  • Small groups of 8-12 participants so everyone gets attention
  • Real expense data from Australian households to work with
  • Templates you can adapt rather than rigid formulas
  • Follow-up support for three months after completion

Next intake starts July 2026. We cap enrollment to maintain quality, so spaces typically fill a few months in advance.

Completed March 2025 cohort

I'd tried budgeting apps before and always abandoned them after a week. What made this different was learning to build a system around my actual habits instead of forcing myself into someone else's method. Three months in and I'm still using what I learned—that's never happened before. The group format helped too; hearing how other people tackled similar problems made everything feel more achievable.
